Authority (Decision Making)
Our decision-making is based on the distinction between two forms of consciousness: Personality and Design. Personality corresponds to our mental awareness, responsible only for what occurs in the mind, while Design refers to bodily awareness, which deals with all vital functions and life decisions except mental ones. In Human Design, it is claimed that before birth, there is already an active consciousness (the Design) preparing the body within the womb, and that Personality (our mental consciousness) joins the body three months before birth. Here, true authority over decisions does not come from the mind but from the body, through chemical and energetic processes. The mind, although capable of thinking, seeing, analyzing, and conversing, should not make the final decisions. This is the role of the body, based on its own natural "authority." This concept suggests that interference from the mind in the body's natural decision-making processes can cause distortions and incorrect decisions. Therefore, the main responsibility of Personality is to keep the mind in its proper place and allow the body to exercise its innate authority in decision-making. Within this perspective, different mechanisms or processes are introduced through which the body can express its authority and make decisions.

Solar Plexus Authority (Emotional Authority)
Individuals with the Defined Solar Plexus Center should wait for a period of emotional clarity before making decisions. They experience emotional waves, and the truth for them unfolds over time, not immediately. The key is patience and avoiding impulsive decisions during emotional highs and lows.

Sacral Authority
For Generators with the Defined Sacral Center and the Undefined Solar Plexus, the decision comes from the immediate guttural response of "yes" or "no" to questions or situations. This authority operates in the present moment and is reliable in determining what is correct for them.

Splenic Authority
Individuals with the Defined Splenic Center as their authority trust instinctual impulses and a sense of immediate knowing to make decisions. This system is geared toward survival and safety, alerting to what is healthy or dangerous.

Heart Authority (Ego)
For those with the Defined Heart Center, decisions are guided by personal will or desire. The truth is expressed verbally and must be heard through what they spontaneously say, not by what the mind thinks they should say.

Self-Projected Authority (G)
This authority is found in individuals with the Defined G Center connecting to the Throat Center. Their decisions are based on what they verbalize in response to invitations, reflecting their true identity and direction.

Environmental Authority (Mental Projector)
Some mental Projectors do not have a defined internal authority, guiding themselves by the feel of the environment around them. The correct decision depends on being in the right environment, which resonates well with them.

Lunar Authority (Reflectors)
Reflectors, who have no defined centers, rely on the 28-day lunar cycle to make decisions. This cycle provides a temporal framework to gain clarity, reflecting the importance of environment and discussions with confidants.
External Authority
As individuals follow their strategy and authority, the mind is freed from decision-making and can serve as a valuable External Authority, sharing wisdom and experiences with others from a unique and authentic perspective. Each of these mechanisms represents a distinct way through which different individuals experience and express their innate authority, highlighting the importance of recognizing and respecting each person's unique mode of operation. Emphasis is placed on understanding and not interfering with the mind's natural processes, allowing the true authority of the bodily design to guide life in a more aligned and harmonious way.
